Same-Sex Spouses

Following the Supreme Court’s “Windsor” decision in June 2013, generally “a spouse is a spouse is a spouse.”  That is, the Federal Government should treat same sex-couples in a valid legal marriage the same as opposite-sex couples.  In practice, the answers are not always clear, especially in this transitional period.  This in-progress page is intended as a collection of resources for same-sex marrieds.
